Weekend dates in peak season book quickly — especially graduation parties, school field days, church events, and summer Saturdays. If you have a specific date or a must-have inflatable, booking early is best.

2–4 weeks ahead is a solid target for average weekends. 6–10+ weeks is common for large events and peak summer weekends.

Yes. To make a reservation, a deposit of 50% of the order total is required. This deposit is applied to your order total and the remaining invoice payment is expected to be made prior to the event.

If you have a school, church, or corporate order with special invoicing needs, ask about payment options.

1 Day Rentals — defined as an "average" rental time greater than 6 hours. Customers may request additional time if needed, but it may result in an additional cost. 1 Day rentals do not allow the customer to keep a unit overnight.

Overnight Rentals — a rental time of overnight with pickup before 10 AM the 2nd day.

2 Day Rentals — a rental time of overnight with pickup after 10 AM the 2nd day.

Weekend Rentals — a rental period starting Friday at 5 PM with pickup on Sunday after 10 AM.

Yes! We offer 2 Day / Overnight rental options. This lets you pay a little extra to keep the bouncer or slide overnight and enjoy the fun for 2 days.

No. We take the setup and cleaning of our equipment seriously. Due to the requirement to clean before each rental, hourly rentals are not feasible.

Yes. To receive a full refund of your reservation/security deposit, the reservation must be canceled more than 3 days before scheduled delivery.

Deposits will not be refunded if canceled within 3 days of scheduled delivery — instead, the deposit will be held as a rain check good for 1 year.

Backyard Adventure Rentals reserves the right to cancel reservations at any time due to safety hazards. If we make the decision to cancel, customers receive a full refund including the security deposit.

Packages vary, but many combine an inflatable with event essentials. Common package items include a bounce house, tables and chairs, a tent, and optional add-ons like concessions (popcorn, cotton candy, sno-cones) or yard games.

Yes — professional delivery, setup, and takedown is included with every rental. Our team positions the unit safely, secures it (stakes or sandbags), and walks you through basic operating instructions.

If you're also renting tents, tables, chairs, concessions, or yard games, we'll coordinate setup so your whole event layout makes sense.

We deliver throughout Kent County and Sussex County, Delaware — including Dover, Camden, Smyrna, Milford, Harrington, Georgetown, Seaford, Lewes, Rehoboth Beach, Milton, Millsboro, Felton, and surrounding areas. Delivery, setup, and pickup are included.

For 1 day rentals, we deliver and set up the morning of your event and pick up in the evening. Delivery timing is scheduled within a delivery window based on route planning.

It typically takes our crews 30–45 minutes to set up and take down bounce houses. Combos and water slides take longer due to additional stakes and straps required for safety.

Yes. All of our delivery trucks carry extension cords and water hoses (for wet rentals). Please ensure the setup area is within 100 feet of the electric and water source.

Most inflatables need a flat setup area plus a little extra clearance on all sides for safe entry, exits, and anchoring. A common rule is: unit size + 3–5 feet of clearance on each side.

Grass is ideal for anchoring stakes. Hard surfaces work fine with sandbags/weights. We'll confirm fit during booking so there are no surprises on delivery day.

Inflatables use a blower that plugs into a standard household outlet. Most rentals require electricity within about 100 feet. If power is not available, a generator rental can be added for parks, fields, and venues.

Blowers must keep running during use to keep the inflatable firm and safe. We can advise on how many outlets you need if you're renting multiple inflatables.

A little prep helps everything go smoothly:

• Pick up pet waste, sticks, and toys from the setup area
• Confirm gate width and access path (especially for fenced yards)
• Identify your nearest outlet and water source (if using wet options)
• Mark sprinkler heads or shallow irrigation lines, if applicable

A bounce house is very safe when used correctly and supervised. The biggest safety factors are proper anchoring, active adult supervision, and age/size grouping.

• Keep similar-size kids together (little ones separate from big kids)
• No shoes, no sharp objects, no food/drinks inside
• Limit rough play (flips and wrestling are common causes of bumps)
• Always follow posted rider limits

Only compatible groups and similar-sized children should play in each unit at the same time. General max capacity guidelines:

8 years & under: 9 children
9–12 years old: 6 children
13–17 years old: 3–4 children
Adults: 3 adults

Some inflatables are designed to handle adults, and others are intended for children only. If you want adult-friendly fun, ask about larger units, obstacle courses, interactive games, or "all-ages" inflatables. We'll steer you to the right choice based on your crowd.

We use heavy-duty 18" steel stakes when securing our equipment. However, wind at times can be extremely powerful. If at any time during the rental period there is a concern for safety due to windy conditions — all riders should exit the jumper immediately and deflate it until wind conditions return to normal.

Yes. Our equipment is cleaned after every rental. We inspect them upon setup to ensure your safety. We ask that any concerns regarding cleanliness and/or safety be reported to us within 1 hour of setup.

Most backyard parties don't require a paid attendant, but an adult must supervise at all times. For schools, churches, festivals, and large community events, staffed attendants can be helpful for crowd control and safety rule enforcement.

If your event has a large guest count, continuous flow of kids, or multiple inflatables, ask about attendant options.

Yes! Many of our inflatables include wet/dry combos and water slides that can be used with water in summer or run dry for cooler temperatures.

Wet use typically needs a water source (garden hose) and a safe drainage plan. Dry use is great for spring/fall parties, schools, and indoor gyms when sized appropriately.

Often, yes. Inflatables can go on hard surfaces with proper weights/sandbags instead of stakes. Indoor setups are also possible when ceiling height and door access allow.

Tell us the surface type (grass, turf, concrete, asphalt, gym floor) and share photos or measurements if the space is tight — especially indoors.

Tents, tables, and chairs can be set up on grass, pavement, and many venue surfaces. The main requirement is a flat, safe area.

Pavement: Requires weights or other approved anchoring methods.
Indoor: Tables/chairs are easy; tents depend on ceiling height and venue rules.

If you cancel within 3 days of delivery due to inclement weather, we will offer a rain check on your deposit that is good for 1 year. Reservation/deposits are refundable if you cancel more than 3 days prior to the event.

Important: If it rains AFTER delivery — there are no rain checks, refunds, or discounts.

We follow manufacturer and industry wind guidelines. If sustained winds or gusts reach unsafe levels, all riders must exit the inflatable immediately. The unit should be deflated until conditions return to normal. Safety always comes first.

Yes. We regularly support school field days, PTO/PTA events, church festivals, fundraisers, grand openings, and community celebrations. We're fully insured and can provide a Certificate of Insurance (COI) upon request.

For larger events, we can recommend crowd-friendly options like obstacle courses, inflatable games, and multiple stations. If your organization has venue rules, COI requirements, or specific delivery times, share those details early so we can plan accordingly.

Yes. We offer generator options for parks, fields, and venues where power outlets aren't accessible. Let us know during booking so we can plan the right setup.
